§ 30-1. Established.

A mayor's court is hereby established, created and authorized as provided by the legislature, and the mayor is hereby authorized and empowered to hold and preside at a mayor's court which shall be known as the mayor's court of the municipality and shall exercise such jurisdiction and shall impose such fines and imprisonment or both as authorized by the laws and the constitution of the state and do all other acts and things which are necessary and incidental to the operation of the mayor's court.
